I was given the chance to listen to the album from the bassist of the band. ABTB is actually in my top 3 favorite bands from South Korea. A fact that took me by surprise when I first realized it. Seeing them live is akin to going to a church revival. Passion. Energy. It’s an out-of-body experience allowing what they do to infiltrate every part of you. They brought that same energy to their first album in four years. “daydream” is a heavy, guttural, bombastic piece of music. A true kick to the shins. An album that physically left me emotionally wrung dry. I loved every second of it.
