This is one of the most comprehensive hip-hop albums in the last five years. D Smoke has come to most consciousnesses through his involvement (and eventual win) of Netflix original competition show “Rhythm & Flow.” However, many know him as older brother to one of TDE’s best, SiR. The Inglewood native has one of the smoothest, most musical flows I’ve ever heard. With a gorgeous mix of English and Spanish, he tells stories so thoroughly and with so much veritas one can’t help but become a part of the experience. Feel as though they are a part of Smoke’s existence. An amazing piece of hip hop that had me unbelievably excited for the genre in 2020.
