Masego has a bravado to him that’s just so utterly cool it’s intimidating. The saxophonist/vocalist is just such a breath of fresh air. Someone who’s managed to bridge the gap between the classic and the contemporary without breaking a sweat or disrespecting either. “Studying Abroad” is sexy, point blank. It’s got flavor and flair and magic to it that pervades pretty much all of his work. This man is a study in first-class elegant swag, and we should all feel blessed to be allowed to watch him grow with every release
