Listen, when I first heard Layfullstop, I laughed like a crazy person. With such a skilled use of vocabulary you I couldn’t help myself. You’re in love before you know what’s happening. With this collaborative project with Woody Green & ZZ and The Slept On, we get music that’s moody, glimmering in something dark while still being uplifting. Though I hate to play the comparison game, I can’t help but be reminded of my dear Hawk House. Meticulous lyricism and wordplay combined with gorgeous composition. If nothing else (and there is so much more than this, I promise), Roots Raddix fills a very big space where Hawk House used to be.
