Him introducing artists whom he loves to the world through his nuanced and exceptional take on the word association game and interviewing is a miracle. When he introduced the world to Stout, I had to find out what kind of music that voice created. Her debut EP is truly unexpected, exceptional work. Magical, nuanced, mystical. But it’s also an elegant vehicle for all that vocal power. She’s about to be my favorite singer. I can feel it in my bones. If she continues to create the unexpected, she’ll probably be most everybody’s.
